Jerusha Bumpus 1827 Historical Reproduction Sampler

The chart is ready! It was wonderful
to create this from a sampler my 5th great grandmother actually stitched.I do not know how old she was when she started it but she was 81 when she finished it passing away 7 tears later.
It was difficult not to correct her errors and in some spots she stitched over one instead of two threads and the software would not accommodate that. The photo was fuzzy but the chart is as historically correct as humanly possible.I have three big pieces for special order to stitch so I won't be doing my own for awhile but for those of you eager to get started now you can.

I Found a Treasure!

While doing family history research I found this picture posted. I was in shock. Jerusha Bumpus is my 4th great grandmother! She was born in 1746. The bottom of this sampler says: yrs 81 made so it would have been stitched in 1827. I do not know if the person that posted this picture actually has the sampler but if they do what a treasure!
I am sure that you have already guessed that I will be attempting to graph a pattern for this historical in the near future- yes I surely will!!

She lived on the open prairie until she was 20 years old when she traveled by covered wagon to Indian Territory , Oklahoma. She met and married Henry McLish a half blood Chicasaw Indian.After having 5 children and several grandchildren she passed away in Oklahoma in 1921.This sampler is a tribute to her and is stitched as authentically as I could including the not so perfect border on the right hand side- much as a 10 year old would have stitched it.
